The course "Passenger Safety, Cargo Safety, and Hull Integrity Training (PACSHIT)" is designed to train captains, chief officers, chief engineers, second engineers, and other personnel responsible for the safety of passengers and cargo on Ro-Ro passenger ships. The course covers the fundamental rules and procedures for ensuring passenger safety, proper cargo stowage and securing, maintaining hull integrity, as well as methods for monitoring and controlling the atmosphere on Ro-Ro decks. The program includes both theoretical and practical training. Successful completion of the course is confirmed by the issuance of a certificate that meets international STCW standards.

The education, qualifications, and experience of the instructors meet the international requirements of the amended STCW Code. Instructors possess maritime education, experience working on seagoing ships, experience working in training centers for preparing command staff, and certifications in specialized courses on passenger safety, cargo safety, and hull integrity.

STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) — The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers.
Theoretical classes are conducted in classrooms equipped with all necessary facilities for comfortable learning: tables, chairs, teaching aids, and demonstration materials (stands, posters, slides). Practical training is conducted on the training ship "AVANT," where students practice skills using individual and collective life-saving equipment.
