The course "Radar Navigation at Management Level, Radar, ARPA, Bridge Teamwork, Search and Rescue" is aimed at in-depth study of the specifics of working with radar systems and coordinating actions on the bridge. This course is also known as "Radar, ARPA, Bridge Teamwork and Search and Rescue Radar Navigation at Management Level" and is designed to train specialists for the safe and efficient execution of navigation and rescue operations.
The main objectives of the course include providing knowledge about the principles of operation of radar systems and ARPA, training in basic operations with their use, including setting up and interpreting data, as well as practical application in navigation and collision avoidance. The course also covers international and national standards for bridge teamwork and search and rescue operations, preparation for managing emergency situations, including interaction with other ships and shore services, and ensuring the knowledge and skills required for documentation and reporting.
This course provides comprehensive training for maritime specialists necessary for the safe and efficient use of radar systems, bridge teamwork, and search and rescue operations, meeting international standards and STCW requirements.
STCW Standards: Convention, Section A-II/1, Code, Section A-I/12, paragraphs 4 and 5, Code, Section B-III/12, paragraphs 2-35.
The objective of the course is to train participants in the effective use of radar systems (Radar), Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA), bridge teamwork (Bridge Teamwork), and conducting search and rescue operations (Search and Rescue, SAR) at the management level. The course is aimed at enhancing participants' competencies and professional skills in accordance with international STCW standards.
This module covers the principles of radar systems, the basics of Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA), and the practical use of these systems for navigation and collision avoidance.
This module covers the basic principles of effective bridge teamwork, the roles and responsibilities of team members, and the tools and methods that ensure smooth crew operations in stressful situations.
This module covers international standards and procedures related to conducting search and rescue operations at sea, coordination with other ships and shore services, and practical use of rescue equipment.
This section describes the practical exercises that participants will perform to consolidate theoretical knowledge and practice skills.
The course Radar Navigation: ARPA, Bridge Teamwork, and Search and Rescue — Management Level provides comprehensive training aimed at enhancing the competence of navigators. Participants will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for the effective use of radar systems, bridge teamwork, and conducting search and rescue operations.
The course instructors possess a high level of qualification, confirmed by international STCW Code requirements. They have higher maritime education, significant experience working on seagoing vessels, and experience teaching in training centers.
Each of them has completed specialized advanced training courses to enhance their competence in radar navigation and the use of Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA). The instructors have extensive experience working on seagoing vessels and teaching in training centers.
This level of qualification and experience ensures high-quality teaching and deep practical training of the course participants.
This course complies with the international standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and is regulated by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW):
STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) — An international convention developed by the IMO to ensure safety at sea and prevent marine pollution.
The course is conducted in classrooms equipped with training aids and demonstration materials.
The NTPro 5000 simulator is an advanced simulation system for training and practicing the skills of radar system operators. NTPro 5000 allows simulating real operating conditions and practicing skills in using radar systems.
This simulator is designed for training operators of Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA). It allows trainees to practice target acquisition and tracking, data evaluation, and decision-making to avoid collisions.
