The course "Training of officers and ratings responsible for cargo handling on ships carrying dangerous and hazardous substances in solid form in bulk and in packaged form" covers the classification of dangerous goods, international standards and regulations (IMDG Code and STCW), procedures for handling, packaging, and marking dangerous goods, documentation requirements, safety measures, emergency procedures, and practical skills necessary for the safe handling of dangerous goods on board ships.
International standards IMO: STCW Code, Section B-V/b, STCW Code, Section B-V/c.
Instructors possess education, qualifications, and work experience that meet the international requirements of the STCW Code with amendments. They have maritime education, experience working on ships, experience in training centers for the preparation of ship officers, and certificates of specialized courses in the safe handling and transportation of dangerous goods.
