About the Course
Marine Electrical and Electronic Equipment Training Course is intended for Chief Engineer Officers and Second Engineer Officers to develop and demonstrate the competence required by STCW Code Section A-III/2 for the function "Electrical, Electronic and Control Engineering at the Management Level." The course develops the professional knowledge and practical skills required for the operation, maintenance and effective management of shipboard electrical and electronic equipment.
The training covers the operating principles of marine electrical and electronic equipment, automatic control systems, electrical machines, switchboards and instrumentation. Particular emphasis is placed on equipment inspection, fault diagnosis, repair techniques and the restoration of electrical and electronic control systems to operational condition.
Upon completion of the course, participants are able to operate, test, troubleshoot, repair and restore shipboard electrical equipment and electronic control systems. The acquired competencies support the safe and reliable operation of shipboard electrical installations in accordance with the requirements of STCW Code Section A-III/2.

Certification
Upon completion of the course, participants undergo final assessment in accordance with the training programme.
Participants who successfully complete the course are issued with the relevant documentary evidence of training.
The training programme is based on the requirements of STCW Code Section A-III/2 for the function "Electrical, Electronic and Control Engineering at the Management Level."
