About the Course
Ship's Energy Saving is a specialized training course designed to provide seafarers with the knowledge and practical skills required to improve ship energy efficiency, optimize the operation of shipboard systems and machinery, and reduce fuel consumption while maintaining safe and efficient vessel operations.
The training is based on the requirements of IMO Model Course 4.05 "Energy Efficient Operation of Ships" and focuses on developing competence in implementing energy-saving measures throughout daily ship operations. The course emphasizes operational efficiency, environmental protection, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and the economical use of fuel and onboard resources.
During the course, participants study the objectives of ship energy saving, optimization of ship design and machinery performance, energy-efficient navigation techniques, optimization of hull maintenance, maintenance of marine machinery and equipment, as well as practical case studies demonstrating effective energy management on board.
Upon Completion of the Course, Participants Will Be Able To

- apply methods for optimizing ship design and machinery operation to improve energy efficiency;

Certification
Successful completion of the course, confirmed by passing the final test (and, where applicable, demonstrating practical competence), entitles the participant to receive a certificate of completion for the Ship's Energy Saving course.
