– general operating principles, types of AIS, their operational capabilities and limitations;

– compliance with rules and protocols for exchange of water area monitoring within VHF radio communication from AIS base station;

– correctness and reliability of data transmitted by ship AIS stations;

– understand operating principles and technical characteristics of AIS
